About an Inch

In the past 13 hours we have received about 1 inch of rain.  What a blessing it is.

As I write this post the sun has not yet risen here near the site where the old Blankenship mill used to stand, and looking out the window seeing the silhouette of the trees along the creek banks; I am thankful for the rain the Lord has sent our way.

It may be just an inch, but my what good that inch of water does for the soil, the grass, crops that are nearing the time of harvest.  It just adds a refreshing mood to the air. I believe that the rain cleanses the air as well.  My what a wonderful Creator we have; the way He has designed, and formed all things to do His will.  Of course, with the exception of one.  One who brought chaos through sin into the world; and I don’t speak of the devil.

I won’t get into a doctrinal discourse; that is not my purpose here.

The rain reminds me of the wondrous grace of GOD.  An undeserved blessing on the banks of Flat Creek.
