April’s Green

We just celebrated Easter yesterday by remembering the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  With the coming of Spring, and the greening of everything since March 20 it is quite fitting to mention “Resurrection”

Spring signifies the renewing of all things living.  Going through Autumn and then Winter the plants seem to die, but then in Spring they come back to life.  Resurrection is testified to by even the Creation around us.

The siblings, myself and our mother experienced the passing away of our Dad (on February 9,2017), and our mother’s husband of 63 years.  Though that was and continues to be a sad departure for us we know Dad is more alive today, in the presence of Jesus, than he has ever been.  One day, and maybe soon, he will rise from the grave in which he is buried, along with all those who died in Jesus Christ; and those who are still living in Christ will join them all in the sky, with Him.

So shall we ever, forever live with Jesus.

Why do I believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus, and all who believe in Him?  The green of April declares it.  Most of all God in His word proclaims and declares it.  Jesus is risen. “He is not here.  He is risen.”

I Will Be Voting…

…By the grace of God I will be voting on Tuesday November 08, 2016.  I will not be voting for “the lesser of two evils”.

I will be voting for the candidate who will honor their pledge (at their inauguration) to “protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America”.  I will be voting for the candidate who will defend the Second Amendment, and the people’s right to defend themselves against a tyrannical government.  I will be voting for the candidate who defends the right of life to the unborn human child.  I will be voting for the candidate who cares more about the citizens of this great nation, than they do about global causes.  I will be voting for the candidate who will appoint Supreme Court Justices who will honor, defend, and protect the Constitution according to its original intent rather than what is culturally acceptable, or politically correct.

The reason to go vote.  Your vote will make a difference.

October Fifth Twenty Sixteen Rain

We have been receiving a blessing of some much needed rain today.  It started falling sometime after midnight, and has continued intermittently since then.

Thank the LORD of all creation for this blessing.

New School Year

The new School Year began in Cassville, MO on August 17.  I also started driving a different route.

I now drive the Jenkins route, and though I am pretty familiar with the area, since I do live in the Jenkins area, I am finding myself having a bit of trouble with some names of my kids.  Remembering their names.

As it is in most communities people move away, and new people move in.  There are only  about three families I am I am familiar with from my years of living here growing up.  One family is cousins, another is nephews, and another is a native of the area.  I just remembered a fourth family, and they are distant relatives.

One thing about it; I will not get lost.

I hope all who are reading this have a great new School year, and great days ahead.

Went Outside this Morning…

I did.

I went out just before sunrise.  The light of the sun was reflecting over the hill, from the sky above, yet was light enough to see.

In my ears I heard the air filled with a cacophony of birds singing to our Creator.  Such a wonderful, marvelous, lovely sound to hear.

I cannot help but thank and praise the Lord for the beauty He has given to the crown of His creation.  You and me.

Potato Garden

I know.  It has been several months since I wrote anything here.  This has not been a priority with me, but I will endeavor to make it so.

A few weeks ago I bought some seed potatoes (35 pounds), and my wife and I cut them up as you must, and then I planted them.  I ended up with nearing six full rows of approximately 100 feet in length.

As of today they are looking good.  We do need rain.  We received some rain this past week, and that helps.

Right now all we have is potatoes growing in the garden, but we have plans for tomatoes, bell peppers, and some spicy peppers too.

It is fantastic watching things grow.  It will we wonderful to have a good potato harvest, hopefully around July.

Flat Creek Has Been Rolling Heavy

We have received 9 – 10 inches of rain from Saturday night through Monday evening.  At last look at my bucket it had about 9 inches in it and we received a bit more after that.

I am including some pictures.  The Creek has gotten as high as I ever remember, and it got higher than any of the past five years we have lived here for sure.

These pictures are in our backyard.

The following pictures are down stream at our swimming area, and called the Whirlhole, and the road down to the hole.
