Something Unusual

Here we are in the first full week of August. The usual August is hot, muggy and dry, many years drought conditions.

This first week, and into the next we  have had fairly cool temps with some exceptions, and rain. Up until a few minutes ago we have been getting rain all day.  Thank the LORD, our Creator and Savior for giving this moisture for crops, hayfields, and yards.

Now let us be grateful for every day.  The rain is a blessing and so is the sunshine; even when it is hot and muggy.

That is how it is on the banks of Flat Creek today,

April’s Showers and May Flowers

We have been getting bunches of rain around here.  It is good to get, and I am sure ruins the plans of human ideas.  Let us be real though.  Without rain we perish.

Inches and inches of rain has fallen.  Flat Creek, out our back door is rising from last nights rainfall, and there is more on the way.  The creek is barely out of the banks.

I went down to look at an hour or so ago, and it is barely in the lowest spot which use to be part of our yard.  After the flooding of December 2015, I do not treat as part of the yard any longer.

April is almost over.  The many showers of April have fallen giving rise to hope which will bring prosperity for the ground, cattle, gardens, crops and life.  May flowers is the promise of beauty, peace, and prosperity.

Is it not wonderful how our Lord and God has blessed us with beauty and hope.  Have a great day ending April.  Be blessed in the month of May.

Blessed with some Rain

As I sit here at the computer writing; it is raining; with some lightening and thunder. It sounds almost like Spring.

Yesterday evening  I was watching the evening news, and I heard a noise I had not heard in a while.  It was the sound of rain hitting our house.  It was coming down pretty hard, and it came down for at least five minutes, and maybe ten.  I looked out the window, and it only appeared to be raining on us and to the North of us.  There is still a need for a good general rain, and it will come.

It was a blessing and a reminder that there is more coming.

We must remember that rain is a blessing from our Creator; and it is given for our crops, for our health, and reminder of the wonderful graces that He gives us each day.

Thank YOU LORD.

The First Day

It is the first day of Spring, and it is raining.  It is supposed to rain inches and  inches, getting rivers and streams over their banks.

Those who have planted their gardens will receive much needed water for them to grow wonderful veggies, potatoes, and it will be quite necessary for the farmers as well.

Have a great first day of Spring.  Enjoy the rain, be thankful for it.  Be thankful to our Creator for giving it.
