Flat Creek Has Been Rolling Heavy

We have received 9 – 10 inches of rain from Saturday night through Monday evening.  At last look at my bucket it had about 9 inches in it and we received a bit more after that.

I am including some pictures.  The Creek has gotten as high as I ever remember, and it got higher than any of the past five years we have lived here for sure.

These pictures are in our backyard.

 

The following pictures are down stream at our swimming area, and called the Whirlhole, and the road down to the hole.

That is how it is on the banks of Flat Creek.

Jesus, keep me near the cross, There a precious fountain,  Free to all, a healing stream, Flows from Calvary’s mountain.

Near the cross, a trembling soul,  Love and mercy found me;  There the Bright and Morning Star  Shed His beams around me.

Near the cross!  O Lamb of God, Bring its scenes before me;  Help me walk from day to day  with its shadow o’er me.
